@danshipper @every this makes me feel incredibly uneasy. i remember reid hoffman having gpt 4 six months before anyone. as the capabilities of these models improve i find it repulsive that a small group of insiders, friends and influential people get a spaceship to climb the mountain while the peasant sit in their huts. like, let’s pretend for a second they’re already now giving out early access to gpt 6 (a leap i know) it’s becoming more and more unfair.
fable wins the first 10 minutes for vibe, prose, personality, creative thinking, and that “oh shit, it gets me” feeling. sol wins after an hour on tool use, code, long tasks, agentic reliability, lower hallucination rate, following weird constraints, and not crumbling when a task has 8 moving parts. but openai have something much bigger coming. i don’t think they realise that anthropic are also sitting on something. we are the real winners here.
Grok 4.5 today, probably in the next few hours, Elon describes it as Opus level but cheaper. GPT-5.6 tomorrow. Gemini 3.5 Pro next week. The Seedance 2.5 video model, which looks world class, is arriving in the next few days as well. Intense release window.
