open source is r0 on purpose: the source is the answer key, so a match can be checked. memory? we renamed all 5,109 identifiers in doom and blanked its strings. 100/100 sampled fns still matched: verified pairs train our own model for closed binaries

@uncc_sh Your blind test only removed the names. The code is still Doom: same consts, same structs, same call structure, same texture strings like "7_2" (taken from your link). Also the agent still gets every header, type and struct definition, plus the exact compiler and flags. Real closed software comes with none of that, so run it on code that’s never been published, with no headers and an unknown compiler

@uncc_sh claims AI agents reverse closed binaries into byte-identical C. The problem is that only targets Doom & Quake, are open source since the 90s and in every model’s training data. The agents also get the function name, file name, original headers. The output "magically" reproduces original variable names, which is impossible by decompilation.
